TOKYO: The state’s Ministry of Industrial and Entrepreneurial Development, Trade and Investment (MIETI) held a special meeting with potential investors in Tokyo, Japan.
Assistant Minister of Industrial Development Investment and Promotion) Datuk Haji Julaihi Narawi who led the state delegates said that three Japanese companies are interested in biomass to produce pellet products for Japan’s and Korea’s market.
Accompanying Julaihi was Assistant Minister of Entrepreneur Development Datuk Haji Mohd. Naroden Majais, MIETI’s Permanent Secretary Datu Liaw Soon Eng and other senior officers of the ministry.
“This delegation is part of the Malaysian Trade and Investment Mission to Japan and Korea that is hosted by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority headed by the Minister of International Trade and Industry (MITI) Dato’ Sri Mutapa Mohamed,” said Julaihi when contacted by the press yesterday.
After three days in Tokyo, Julaihi who is also the Assistant Minister of Rural Economy (Coastal Areas) and Fisheries will lead his group to join MITI in Seoul, South Korea.
