KUCHING: Sarawak boxing contingent took home three medals, including one gold at the 1st National Youth Circuit Boxing Championship Series 2017 which took place at the Gong Badak Mydin Mall, Kuala Nerus, Terengganu, recently.

With the gold medal contributed by Jackson Chambai Ak Ikeh (44kg-46kg). Mohammad Zainudin Zailani (81kg-91kg), who also recorded as contributor of silver medal.

The bronze medal was delivered by Tan Hui Chiew (60kg-64kg).

“An amazing and great achievement was exhibited by our young boxers in the tournament. Congratulations to the boxers who won the medals,” said the President of Boxing Association of Sarawak (SABA), Dato Rahman Haji Lariwoo recently.

According to Dato Rahman, the achievement was a clear indication of how SABA takes the lead in preparing the squad to face the Sukma (Malaysia Games) 2018 in Perak Darul Redzuan.
