TATAU: A little girl was reported missing after being attacked by a crocodile while bathing with her family in a river at Kampung Seberang Pasar Lama on Wednesday (Sept 18).
The girl has been identified as six-year-old Cicilia Julan Intik.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they received a call from Tatau police at 7.21 pm on the incident.
Firefighters from Tatau station were promptly deployed to the scene to start the search and rescue (SAR) operation.
It was reported that the girl was bathing in the river with her family around 6.30 pm. The attack was witnessed by the girl’s grandfather, who was also present at the scene.
At the time of writing, the search is ongoing and the girl has yet to be found.
