MIRI: A wooden chalet at Jalan Bakam was completely destroyed in the wee hours yesterday (Sept 21), fortunately no casualty was reported.
Firefighters from the Sentral and Lopeng Fire Station were dispatched to the scene immediately after receiving an emergency call at 2:32 am on Saturday.
The chalet, located about 24 km from the Sentral Fire Station, was already engulfed in flames upon the firemen’s arrival.
The team worked swiftly to control the blaze, managing to extinguish it in about 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
