MUKAH: Mukah Division Football Association (MuFA) will be holding a 9-a-side football tournament on April 22 to 24.
The three-day event MuFA football competition 2017 will be played in a group league format.
According to its secretary, Herman Bong, the tournament is limited to 48 teams with an entry fee of RM150 per team.
“It is open to the first 48 teams that return their entry forms to the organiser.
The matches will be played on the weekend and on April 24 which happens to be a public holiday,” he said.
He said the closing date for entries will be at 4.30pm on April 20, with the manager’s meeting at 2pm the next day at Mukah Youth Activity Centre at the former council building (MDDM).
Bong added that the champions will receive RM1,000 and trophy while first and second runners-up respectively will get RM700 and RM400, plus a trophy each.
“There are also prizes for the Top Scorer and Best Player of the tournament who will pocket RM150 each,” he added.
