SELANGAU: An elderly man sustained minor injuries after his quarry stone-laden lorry crashed along the Selangau-Mukah Pan Borneo Road this morning (Sept 24).

The accident happened around 7.19 am when the lorry was travelling from Selangau to Matadeng Junction in Mukah.

Firefighters from Selangau station were dispatched to the scene, about 14km away, after receiving a distress call.

Upon arrival, they found the driver was still in the cabin and extrication works were carried out to free him from his seat.

The 60-year-old driver, who sustained a shoulder injury, was handed over to the Civil Defence Force (APM) for transport to Selangau health clinic for further medical treatment.
