KUCHING: Para Sukma contingent Chef De Mission, Datuk Mohammad Razi Sitam reminded that all assistant contingents involved with the para athletes must utilize their available free time as best as possible, especially for those who will be competing in their respective events soon.

He said the efforts made by the athletes during their downtime were important to ensure that the athletes can secure gold medals and maintain Sarawak’s dominance at the top in terms of medal tally, while ensuring that Sarawak can emerge as the champion in the Para Malaysia Games (Para Sukma XXI) 2024.

“There are still a few days left before the Para Sukma XXI 2024 games conclude.

“My reminder to the athletes, especially those who will compete in their respective events, is to stay focused, with the mission of striving for gold medals,” he said.

He informed that the Para Sukma Sarawak contingent had successfully passed the halfway point of the 83-medal target set previously.

“I urged all assistant contingent leaders to ensure that the athletes’ health and emotions are in the best condition.

This is crucial so that they can be more consistent and enthusiastic during the actual competition.

“The most important thing is for our athletes to remain consistent in their performance in every event,” he said.

Meanwhile, he is optimistic that the Sarawak Para Sukma contingent will achieve the medal target.
