MIRI: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg expressed optimism about Malaysia’s economic recovery under the leadership of Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim.

Speaking at the launch of the “Madani Rakyat Sarawakku Sayang” programme in Miri on Saturday, he lauded Anwar’s efforts in stabilising the country over the past two years.

Alhamdulillah, I see that in these two years, we have been able to stabilise the entire country under the leadership of Dato’ Sri Anwar Ibrahim. It seems that today, even our Malaysian Ringgit symbolises this recovery, showing that our economy is on the right track,” said Abang Johari.

He noted that the country’s journey towards full economic stability and development is still ongoing.
However, with a strong and stable political foundation, he believes Malaysia can move forward.

“The journey is still far away, but that is why I and my colleagues extend our wishes to Malaysia Madani.

Together with Sarawak, which we love dearly, we also express our love for Malaysia. Our future looks bright as long as our politics remain stable and we can focus on economic development,” he said.
