KUCHING: Two development projects are planned and set to be implemented in Balai Ringin as part of ongoing efforts to advance the area.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan said the first project will focus on upgrading the town of Balai Ringin.

“In the Balai Ringin sub-district, the town undergoes upgrades and will be equipped with various facilities. This project has already been approved with a budget of RM55 million,” he said.

He said this during the 2024 Pesta Pantu opening ceremony held at the Dewan Sri Pantu here on Saturday evening.

Snowdan, who is also the Balai Ringin assemblyman, said the second project involves constructing a new hall in Pantu, to be named ‘Panggau Pantu,’ featuring modern amenities such as a large stage and open square.

He added that the hall will serve as a venue for various events, including future Pesta Pantu celebrations, with completion scheduled by the end of 2025.
