KAPIT: Issues in rural and remote areas, such as roads, bridges, and basic amenities, need continuous attention from both the Sarawak and Federal Governments.
Prime Minister Datuk Sri Anwar Ibrahim added that cooperation between Sarawak and the Federal Government is for the benefit of the people, and that is why he came to Sarawak.
“A progressive state attracts investment, and the state must be stable and peaceful so that outsiders will view it favourably,” he said.
“Earlier, I, together with the Premier (Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg), visited the location where the new Kapit District Police Headquarters (IPD)will be developed.
“This kind of facility is important to ensure the safety of our people,” the Prime Minister said at the Pemimpin Bersama Rakyat programme at Rumah Robert Nanga Sebatu here Sunday (Sept 29).

Among the structures to be built are a three-storey administration building, a storage building, an indoor shooting range, a parade ground, and a covered team vehicle garage.
Additionally, a multipurpose hall, a football field, a chapel, and a surau will also be constructed.
For the convenience of officers and personnel, two five-storey Class F quarters blocks with 38 residential units, 6 Class D quarters units, a Perkep house, and a daycare centre will also be built.
