KUCHING: Parti Pesaka Bumputera Bersatu (PBB) welcomed 10 new members to its supreme council.

PBB secretary-general Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi said the appointment of the members were five each from the Women and Youth wings.

“This is the first time since the approval of additional supreme council members where the Youth and Women’s wings are represented, with five members each from both wings joining as new members of the supreme council.

“This reflects our consideration of the party’s needs as it has grown, and we require their involvement in accordance with the developments in the political scenario and other needs,” he said.

Nanta, who is the Works Minister, was speaking to reporters after the PBB supreme council meeting chaired by Premier and PBB president Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) last night (Sept 30).

Meanwhile, the five members from the Youth wing are Afiq Brahim, Malcolm Layang Jimban, Sufian Mohat, Neuchlos Jub, and Abang Mohd Hafiq Abang Kassim.

The other five from the Women’s wing are Senator Susan Chemerai Anding, Datuk Seri Rohani Karim, Datin Seri Angelina Ujang, Umang Nangku Jabu, and Dr Dayang Nurfizawati.
