SELANGOR: His Royal Highness Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj had an audience with the Bishop of the Anglican Church in Sarawak and Brunei, the Rt Revd Datuk Danald Jute, at Istana Bukit Kayangan, Shah Alam here recently.
According to a post on Selangor Royal Office’s Facebook page, the meeting saw both figures engaged in a thoughtful exchange of views on a range of current issues.
This meeting follows a previous engagement in November 2023, when Sultan Sharafuddin visited Danald at his residence in Kuching during a royal visit to Sarawak.
Danald has been serving as Bishop since his appointment on August 13, 2017. He has been a prominent advocate for interfaith dialogues and has actively participated in various international discussions, including those held at Al-Azhar University in Egypt.
His leadership extends beyond Malaysia, as he also chairs the Anglican Inter-Faith Commission on a global level, promoting harmony among different faiths worldwide.
