KUCHING: A free seminar regarding the e-invoicing adoption will be held on Oct 9 from 9 am to noon at Sa’ati Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) hall.
SUPP Women Central Chief Kho Teck Wan announced that SUPP Women Central was organising the seminar in collaboration with HumanLogica.
“This initiative aims to provide business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals with a comprehensive understanding of e-invoicing, ensuring compliance with the latest tax regulations and avoiding costly penalties.
“We are bringing in key speakers from Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN), Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), and accredited service providers, who will be delivering a step-by-step demonstration on how to transition from traditional invoices to the government’s new E-Invoice system. Participants will hear directly from Dr Ong Yih Tat (Senior Revenue Executive II, Inland Revenue Board, LHDN) and Song Hock Koon (Senior Advisor, MDEC),” she said in her recent statement.
With the federal government’s new e-invoicing requirements fast approaching, Kho added it was essential for businesses and individuals to gain proper awareness of the system to avoid unnecessary penalties.
“This seminar will cover the real-world challenges of e-invoicing adoption and provide valuable insights to help participants navigate the transition smoothly.
“The event is particularly important for anyone who wants to understand the necessary steps for implementation and the legal expectations they must meet,” she added.
She encouraged the public, especially the business community, to take advantage of the opportunity to gain clarity on e-invoicing and get their questions answered by experts.
