Elderly man collapses during court session in Miri, declared dead

MIRI: A 68-year-old man collapsed during a court session at the Sarawak Bumiputera Court, here yesterday (Oct 4).

The 10am incident happened during a land trial, raising immediate concern among those present.

Efforts were made to revive the man, but he remained unresponsive.

Miri District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the case, stating that it is being classified as a sudden death.

“We urge the public to refrain from making any speculations or sharing sensitive issues on social media that could lead to unnecessary concern and annoyance within the local community,” said Alexson.
