MIRI: This morning, three individuals miraculously escaped unharmed after a two-vehicle collision on the Pan Borneo Niah-Bintulu Road near Gelasah, Suai.
The accident, which occurred at around 6.59 am, involved a four-wheel drive and a compact car.
Upon impact, the compact car burst into flames, leaving it completely charred. However, all three people in it managed to escape without any injuries.
Firefighters from the Batu Niah Fire Station were swiftly dispatched to the scene.
Armed with a hose reel and water nozzles from their machinery pumps, they commenced firefighting operations.
Their efforts, which took nearly 30 minutes, eventually brought the blaze under control.
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the cause of the accident.
