BINTULU: Sarawak Energy continues its commitment to environmental sustainability by implementing the 2021-2030 Tree Planting, Conservation and Habitat Restoration Campaign in Kidurong, on Saturday.

This programme is held in collaboration with the Bintulu Development Board (BDA) as part of efforts to conserve the local ecosystem and enrich the biodiversity.

The brief tree planting event was also attended by Sarawak Energy’s Bintulu Region Senior Operations and Maintenance Manager, Patrick Teo, Kidurong RPR Village Head, Ibrahim Edeni as well as Sarawak Energy and BDA staff.

A total of 600 trees of various species such as Cengal trees, Kabung trees, Bunga Butang trees, Bucida, Rambutan, Pink Tecoma, as well as various types of fruit trees were planted during the programme.

This programme aimed to improve the local habitat and support greening initiatives in the Kidurong area.

This campaign is part of Sarawak Energy’s long-term plan to support environmental conservation efforts until 2030.
