PUTRAJAYA: The Rukun Negara must be deeply ingrained in the hearts of young Malaysians to shape a generation with a clear vision, said Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.

The Minister of National Unity said this initiative aims to guide Malaysians in appreciating the nation’s peace and cultural diversity.

“By embracing the Rukun Negara, youths can actively contribute to nation-building and foster a strong sense of patriotism,” he said in a statement.

The Ministry of National Unity, through the Department of National Unity and Integration (JPNIN), in collaboration with IKRAM Malaysia, recently launched the Jelajah Belia Rukun Negara.

This initiative, which started this month and will run until early 2025, involves 1,200 young participants aged 18 to 30 from across the country.

“The tour is a follow-up to the National Unity Advisory Council (MPPN) meeting held on Feb 29, 2024, where it was decided to develop and implement a Rukun Negara Appreciation Module.

“The initiative will take place in six zones nationwide, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of the Rukun Negara values among youths. Through this tour, participants will be recognised as Duta Kecil Rukun Negara,” he added.
