KUCHING: Recently established Malaysia Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) Sarawak plans to focus on key issues like  cybercrime and bullying in the state.

Together with the Ministry of Women, Childhood and Community Well-being Development the local chapter of MCPF is expected to roll out joint programmes by the end of the year.

Both parties hope to implement effective crime prevention initiatives by 2025.

MCPF Sarawak’s agenda came to light when its newly appointed chairman, Batu Lintang assemblyman, See Chee How, paid a courtesy call on Minister  Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah here on Wednesday.

“The foundation’s engagement with Sarawak’s ministry, led by Fatimah, aims to tackle the unique challenges faced by the state,” said See.

“This collaboration will allow us to better address the growing concerns of cybercrime and bullying, ensuring a safer community for everyone,” he said.

Meanwhile Fatimah said the ministry is particularly concerned about the rise in cybercrime and bullying, which affect many in the communities.
