KUCHING: The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS) made a strong showing at several key events in Selangor last weekend (Oct 12-13).

Led by President Kong Chiong Ung, the delegation participated in the 13th Youth Entrepreneurs Conference, the 120th Anniversary Dinner of the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KLSCCCI), and the ACCCIM’s 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM).

A significant highlight was the election of ACCCIS President Kong Chiong Ung as one of six Vice Presidents of ACCCIM.

Additionally, Deputy President Dato’ Lau Cheng Kiong and Secretary-General Dato’ Chai Voon Tok were elected to the ACCCIM National Council.

ACCCIS also played an active role in the AGM, with four motions it proposed were approved.

The AGM, officiated by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, concluded successfully with the election of Datuk Ng Yih Pyng, President of KLSCCCI, as the new ACCCIM President for the 2024-2027 term.
