KUCHING: Farley Foundation will be organising a blood donation programme at Farley Kuching on Sunday (Oct 19).
The event, scheduled to run from 9am to 2pm, aims to save lives and promote community health.
“The primary goal of the event is to save lives through efforts of collecting a substantial number of blood units to meet the increasing demand for blood transfusions in the community.
“Besides, this programme also aimed to raise awareness about the importance of regular blood donation and its role in maintaining community health,” according to a press release, Tuesday (Oct 15).
The programme will feature professionally managed donation stations to ensure a smooth and comfortable process for donors.
“A qualified medical team will also be present to conduct health screenings and oversee the safety and wellbeing of all participants.
“In addition to blood collection, the event will offer community engagement opportunities, including educational sessions led by professionals to highlight the importance of blood donation and its broader impact on public health.
“We also invite members of the media to join us in this noble cause. Your coverage will not only help in spreading awareness but also encourage more people to participate and donate blood.”
Farley Foundation said the media plays a crucial role in highlighting community initiatives, and media support will significantly contribute to the success of the programme.
