KUALA LUMPUR: The grand wedding reception of Fajrul Rahman and Siti Hanisah, son and daughter-in-law of DMY Creation Sdn Bhd founder Datuk Muhammad Yusoff, unfolded as a spectacular affair at the Setia City Convention Centre, Shah Alam, over the weekend.

With more than 4,000 guests in attendance, the event, dubbed Malaysia’s ‘wedding of the year,’ was nothing short of a cinematic extravaganza. The two expansive halls were transformed into a dazzling movie set, setting the stage for an evening of celebration that blended Indian tradition with luxury.

The night was further illuminated by a stunning fireworks display over Setia Alam, adding to the splendour.

The wedding reception brought together a cross-section of Malaysia’s elite, including prominent figures from the entertainment, political, and social spheres, creating a unique fusion of elegance and festivity.

“The bride and groom made a grand entrance dressed in bespoke ensembles crafted by renowned Indian designers Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi, exuding sophistication and cultural finesse,” said a statement made available by DMY Creation to Bernama.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous dining experience curated by celebrity chef Madhampatty Rangaraj, famed for incorporating traditional grains and millet into innovative gourmet menus.

The entertainment for the evening matched the grandeur of the occasion. Violin virtuoso Manoj Kumar mesmerised the audience with a seamless blend of classical and contemporary music.

Renowned choreographer John Britto added a cinematic flair with his dance performances, inspired by elements from Bollywood and Kollywood.

The presence of stars from the Tamil film industry, including composer GV Prakash Kumar, actor Ashok Selvan, and rising talent Keerthy Pandian, elevated the celebration further.

Social media influencers, such as YouTuber Mohammed Irfan, RJ Bravo, and Sindhuja Hari, also added vibrancy to the event, sharing live updates under the hashtag #DMYVEETUKALYANAM.

Expressing his joy, Muhammad described the event as a harmonious blend of cultures.

 “This celebration marks the union of two families and two worlds. We are truly honoured to share this special moment with everyone here,” he said.
