MIRI: A homeowner’s keen eye led to the shocking discovery of a massive 20kg python early Wednesday morning in Kampung Tudan.

The reptile, which measured over 10 feet in length, was found coiled in a ditch outside a residence on Lorong Sejahtera.

After spotting the snake, the concerned homeowner quickly contacted the firefighters for assistance.

A team from the Lutong Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene, arriving after receiving the emergency call at 1.10 am.

The operation to safely capture the large python, using a specialised tool, lasted nearly 30 minutes.

The firefighters removed the snake from the area, ensuring the safety of the neighbourhood.
