KUCHING: The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) is ready to support Sarawak’s initiative to establish aerospace courses at state-owned institutions.

Mminister Datuk Seri Diraja Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said his ministry is prepared to collaborate with the state government on the matter.

“I have said that at the university level, we are prepared to collaborate and I understand that teams from public higher learning institutions (IPTA) are committed to supporting Sarawak’s plans,” he said.

He was speaking to reporters after making a courtesy call on Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here on Wednesday (Oct 16).

During the courtesy call, he had a discussion with Abang Johari which centred on the development of higher education in Sarawak.

“We have discussed future plans which include laying out a long-term education plan. MoHE is currently working on a new plan for the period from 2026 to 2035,” he said.
