BINTULU: The police are appealing to the public for any information related to the death of a four-year-old child in the Sg. Setiam area here.
According to Bintulu District Police, the child was pronounced dead at Bintulu Hospital on the evening of October 15, 2024, at approximately 7.50 pm.
Authorities have found signs of injury on the victim’s head and waist, leading to the classification of the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the police have arrested two individuals – a 28-year-old woman and a 34-year-old local man – believed to be connected to the case. Both suspects are currently under remand for seven days to assist with the investigation.
The authorities have urged the public to refrain from making any speculations or spreading false information, as this could cause unnecessary anxiety within the community.
