KUCHING: Hope FC coach Bryan Cheong has granted his players a well-deserved break following a packed schedule of matches.

Cheong’s squad recently secured a solid 2-0 victory over Pustaqa FC in the Liga Bandaraya.

“For us, preparation will involve the friendly match we had last week and possibly a training session later in the week, closer to the game,” he said when contacted by New Sarawak Tribune on Friday.

With the current high volume of games, Cheong believes a little rest will benefit the players.

“It would be good for the boys to recharge,” he added.

He also mentioned that his team recently played a friendly match against 9916 FC to maintain their momentum.

Currently, Hope FC sit fourth in the Liga Bandaraya standings, accumulating nine points from four matches, with three wins and one loss.

“We’ve been focusing on tactical instructions and strategies over the past few weeks leading up to these matches, so the boys should be well-prepared,” Cheong stated.
