KUCHING: The Mobile Community Services will be extended to Pulau Bruit in Sarawak and Kampung Pangaraan in Sabah.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said as part of the effort, RM100 million would be allocated by the government to expand mobile services to meet the needs of rural and remote communities who often have to travel long distances to get access for community services.

“The government will also add nine more Mobile Dental Clinics, bringing the total to 54 across the country.

“Additionally, four more BSN Mobile Banks will be added, particularly focused on Sarawak and Sabah remote areas to facilitate the distribution of government aid,” he said.

He relayed this when tabling the 2025 Budget in the Dewan Rakyat yesterday (Oct 18).

Anwar added that mobile services of the National Registration Department (JPN) will also be enhanced.

On the same note, he informed that the mobile clinics run by university teaching hospitals would continue, such as mammogram screenings by the University of Malaya Medical Centre.
