KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 34 Sarawak graduates received their job offer letters during the 15th edition of Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (LBAS) 2024 through the Kenyalang Career Initiatives 2024.
Both Yayasan Peneraju and SLB offered jobs to three graduates each, while PETROS offered positions to eight graduates, Affin to six graduates, and PETRONAS to 14 graduates.
All the graduates had undergone tests and screenings over the past two or three months and attended interview sessions on Friday before successfully receiving their offer letters today.
Meanwhile, for the Yayasan Sarawak Tun Taib and Yayasan Sarawak Tunku Abdul Rahman scholarships, Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg presented awards to a total of 400 students (200 each).
At the programme, Abang Johari also symbolically presented a grant amounting to RM4,386,500 to 626 recipients for the Programme Ke Arah Keusahawanan (GERAK) and a grant totalling RM1,422,000 to 216 recipients for the Programme Usahawan Teknikal dan Vokasional (USTEV).
Also present were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, National Unity Minister Datuk Seri Aaron Ago Dagang and Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
