KUCHING: Angkatan Zaman Mansang Sarawak (AZAM) has made a significant stride by participating in the annual Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak gathering in Kuala Lumpur for the first time on Saturday.
This initiative highlights AZAM’s commitment to empowering communities through participatory communication.
“This participation aligns with AZAM’s initiative, movement for progress, aimed at increasing community engagement along with fostering collaborative development across Sarawak and beyond,” said a press release issued by AZAM.
As an appreciation for the youth of Sarawak, AZAM has distributed over 1,000 special souvenirs at its booth during the event.
“The booth featured three exciting interactive activities designed to help visitors explore and understand AZAM’s role and functions in Sarawak’s development.
“With the theme empowering communities through participatory communication, AZAM aims to inspire Sarawakian youth to take an active role in shaping the future of their state.
“This event presents AZAM with a unique opportunity to connect with young professionals, in line with its vision of creating a more progressive Sarawak,” it said.
Meanwhile, AZAM’s strategic communication manager Hassnal Hakim Junaidi
said that their participation in Lan Berambeh was a crucial step in efforts to empower the Sarawakian community living outside the state.
“We want to ensure that the youth, as future leaders, remain motivated and committed to contributing to Sarawak’s development after acquiring quality knowledge and experience.
“Through active engagement in this event, we believe they will be encouraged to apply their skills and knowledge for the betterment of the state,” he said in the press release.
