KUCHING: The Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA) booth proved a major draw at the annual Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak 2024 event in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday.
The event, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), saw RECODA’s display stand out among the many booths, attracting large crowds eager to learn about Sarawak’s ongoing infrastructure and socio-economic projects, particularly those within the Sarawak Corridor for Renewable Energy (SCORE) region.
“Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak continues to be a pivotal platform for RECODA to connect with Sarawakians living, studying, and working in Peninsular Malaysia,” said RECODA in a statement.
“It’s an ideal opportunity to showcase Sarawak’s economic potential and ongoing efforts to transform the state into a high-income economy.”
By connecting with the Sarawakian diaspora, RECODA hoped to attract more talent and investments back to the state, in line with the Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
The one-day event, which drew a massive crowd of around 6,500 visitors, is an annual gathering of Sarawakians from all walks of life, especially those residing outside the state.
