KUCHING: The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives has approved an allocation of more than RM1.9 million for the fist phase of Tamu Desa development in Sarawak this year.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan said the first phase of the programme involves 13 Tamu Desa locations throughout the state.

“At present, two Tamu Desa projects have been fully completed, while 11 other projects are in the implementation stage.

“Therefore, I would like to thank the ministry for approving RM1,995,000 for the Tamu Desa Phase 1 programme in Sarawak for the year 2024,” he said.

He said this after chairing a Sarawak Entrepreneur Development Coordination Committee (SEDCC) 2024 meeting here on Monday (Oct 21).
