BINTULU: Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad (BPHB) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAXIS during the Sarawak International Digital Economy Conference (IDECS24).
BPHB was represented by chief executive officer Ruslan Abdul Ghani and BPHB group information technology general manager Ramzi Shafiee.
Meanwhile, MAXIS was represented by the head of corporate affairs, Mariam Bevi Bacha, together with their management team.
BPHB said this collaboration aims to introduce 5G technology in the digitalisation of the port, which is expected to improve safety and security, as well as improve environmental monitoring and operational efficiency.
The MoU exchange ceremony was also witnessed by Minister for Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Seri Julaihi Narawi, who showed his support for the port’s digitisation initiative.
This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on port operations and the environment in the area.
