BETONG: The victories in every election are the result of hard work and dedication of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) members who steadfastly fight alongside the party, said Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.

The PBB deputy president stressed that the members, especially at the branches (ranting) level, are like the roots of PBB, providing strength for the party to remain solid.

“We must continue our efforts to strengthen our party. Our struggle is not just about winning candidates during elections, but politics is a platform that can bring benefits and positive change to society,” he said.

He said this in his speech at the PBB branch triannual general meeting for the 2024-2027 term for the PBB Bukit Saban here, recently.

So far, 14 out of the 17 branches in the N.37 Bukit Saban PBB division have completed their triannual general meetings for the 2024-2027 term.

The remaining three branches are scheduled to hold theirs on Oct  27.

Meanwhile, on the Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA), Uggah said that the Bukit Saban area has an allocation of RM60 million to enhance its economic activities.

This allocation, he said, will be used for inputs and assistance in agricultural activities such as oil palm, pepper, rubber, vegetables, fruits, and livestock such as chickens, pigs, ducks, swiftlets, quails, and more.

“We already have a list of applications, and it will be finalised by December at the latest. They will benefit from the programme. Hopefully, implementation can begin early next year,” he added.
