KUCHING: KPJ Kuching Specialist Hospital (KPJ Kuching) recently introduced the VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution, making history as the first healthcare centre in Borneo to adopt this advanced technology.

The VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Solution, developed by Johnson & Johnson, represents a significant advancement in joint replacement technology at the hospital. Since its introduction in late September 2024, Dr. Lee has successfully performed 52 total knee replacement surgeries using the VELYS™ Robotic-Assisted Knee Replacement System at KPJ Kuching, making significant strides in orthopaedic care in the region.

In addition to its implementation at KPJ Kuching, the VELYS™ system is also being utilised at Sunway Medical Centre Kuala Lumpur, broadening its influence and presence within the healthcare industry.
