KUCHING: Mutiara Production House (M) Sdn Bhd (MPHSB) is bringing back the nostalgia of the 1960s with the Retro Pop Yeh Yeh 2024 Concert, featuring legendary pop yeh yeh icons such as Datuk Raden Jeffrydin Raden Imbromsoekaman, Datuk L Ramlie, and A Rahman Onn.

The concert will take place on Nov 30 from 8 pm to 11 pm at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre (HEEC), here.

It promises to bring back the golden era of pop yeh yeh music, celebrating the genre that defined the 60s.

MPHSB managing director Dr Alim Impira said the concert aims to rekindle the spirit of the 1960s music scene, offering fans a chance to relive the glory days of this genre.

“It’s an opportunity to appreciate the contributions of the iconic artists who shaped this unique musical era,” he said during a press conference held at Star On Stage here on Thursday (Oct 24).

The event is supported by the Ministry of Communications through MyCreative Ventures, as well as the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts.

Aside from Jeffrydin, L Ramlie, and A Rahman Onn, other notable performers will include Kugiran MASDO, Haziq Rosebi, A Rozaini, and Ahmad Yassin.

Tickets are available in various categories, priced as follows: Cincin Emas (RM420), Mas Mona (RM360), Dinda (RM260), Kenanganku (RM190), and Dara Pujaan (RM90).

The public can buy physical tickets at Stars on Stage Restaurant, or online through the booking platform provided by the organisers.

Dr Alim hopes that the concert will not only attract fans of pop yeh yeh but also inspire younger generations to appreciate the rich artistic and cultural heritage of retro music.

Also present at the press conference were MPHSB project manager Hasyim Mohd and members of Kugiran MASDO, who joined the session via Google Meet.
