KOTA SAMARAHAN: The repair of the damaged water pipe along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway was successfully completed shortly after midnight on Sunday (Oct 27).
According to Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro), affected residents may continue to experience low water pressure in the next couple of days as the water pressure normalises.
“Sarawak Metro sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused by this incident, especially to the affected communities in Kota Samarahan,” it said in a notice posted at its official Facebook post.
The water disruption occurred when a sub-contractor damaged a water pipe during utility relocation works for the Blue Line of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project.
In response, Sarawak Metro, in collaboration with the Kuching Water Board (KWB), has worked tirelessly to resolve the water supply disruption affecting multiple communities along the Expressway.
