BINTULU: Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Seri Dr. Stephen Rundi Utom has emphasised the importance of caring for one’s health from a young age as a preventive measure against chronic diseases.
In an effort to encourage the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle, he stated that practicing a healthy lifestyle is key to maintaining a high quality of life in old age.
Hence, he fully supports the Healthy Malaysia National Agenda (ANMS) introduced by the federal Ministry of Health (KKM), which plays a vital role in promoting physical activity, stress management, healthy eating, and anti-smoking habits.
“ANMS encourages people to be physically active, manage stress wisely, and maintain a balanced diet.
This not only reduces the risk of disease but also improves overall well-being,” he said.He ma

He stressed that healthy activities, such as avoiding smoking and alcohol abuse, are crucial for preventing health complications and increasing the life expectancy of Malaysians.
“By adopting a healthy lifestyle, state leaders hope that the community can enjoy a better quality of life and reduce the risk of health problems in the future,” added Dr. Rundi, who is also the Kemena assemblyman.
