MIRI: Minister of Transport Sarawak and Senadin assemblyman, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin showed compassion by visiting a fire victim at Kampung Damai Jaya whose house was burnt down on Thursday (Oct 31).
According to Lee, the fire victim was a widow and has two children.
“Upon hearing the news and receiving a report from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), I immediately requested the Miri Welfare Department and Malaysian Red Crescent Miri Branch to arrange some basic necessities to support the victims.
“I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to Bomba for the fast response in putting off the fire. The occupants were not in the house when the fire occurred,” he said.
Lee also handed over financial assistance from his Senadin Service Centre to the mother.
