MIRI: The Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), in collaboration with the residents of Kuala Suai village, has completed a 400-metre pipeline extension across the Suai River, seen as significant step towards improving access to clean water supply.
The project, managed by JBALB’s Miri office as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, aims to provide clean water supply to the villagers of Kampung Kuala Suai in Niah.
Director of JBALB Sarawak, Awg Mohammad Fadillah Awg Redzuan lauded the completion of the project as a valuable partnership between the department and local community.
Speaking at JBALB Sarawak’s annual dinner gathering here on Friday night (Nov 1), he expressed his gratitude for the joint effort, stating, “Thank God the villagers now have access to clean water supply that has always been their dream. Thank you very much, JBALB Miri team.”
This pipeline expansion is part of JBALB’s ongoing commitment to address the water supply challenges in rural Sarawak, underscoring the department’s mission to deliver clean and safe water to underserved communities.
