KUCHING: The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Stakan branch ended its election process, appointing new office bearers with the unanimous support of its members and supporters, here.
The nomination process, which took place from 9 am to 5 pm yesterday (Nov 2), was conducted according to party guidelines and saw a smooth, complaint-free election.
A total of 33 members were elected unopposed to the branch committee.
Prominent among the elected officers is Datuk Sim Kiang Chiok, who was re-elected for the fifth term as branch chairman. Sivanesan Sanmugalingam retains his role as branch secretary, while Chai Ngee Wui continues as branch treasurer. Valentine Dalley Yong was also re-elected as Youth chief of the branch.
The meeting witnessed the participation of over 120 branch members, who reaffirmed their commitment to the party’s goals and endorsed the leadership team that will guide the branch over the next three years.
