KUCHING: A chicken rice stall at 126 Laksa food court, named “No-Show Chicken Rice,” has captured social media attention for its creative airline-themed menu.
The stall’s concept playfully references airline seating classes, with menu items named ‘Economy Class,’ ‘Business Class,’ ‘Premium Economy,’ and ‘First Class’, each with varying portion sizes and prices.
At the lower end, “Economy Class” offers a basic serving for RM7, while the “Business Class” and “Premium Economy” options provide larger portions and different chicken styles, priced at RM8 and RM10, respectively.
For those with a bigger appetite, the “Flight + Hotel” option caters to groups with a large RM40 portion meant for five people. There’s even a cheeky item named “Curry Delay” priced at RM10, adding a humorous touch to the menu.
The stall operator can also be seen donning a pilot uniform while preparing orders, giving ‘flyers’ a taste of the ‘in-flight’ experience.
A Facebook post from the 126 Laksa food court showcasing the stall has garnered over 3,200 shares and is flooded with comments.
Many users have praised the stall’s lighthearted approach, with some jokingly asking for “boarding passes” or “promo codes” for their meals.
