Little boy’s hand freed from bicycle mishap

MIRI: A one-year-old boy was injured today (Nov 4) after his hand became caught in a bicycle chain at a home on Jalan Mutiara 7, Vista Perdana.
Firefighters from the Lopeng fire station responded to an emergency call at 12.16 pm.
Upon arrival, they found the boy’s left hand tightly trapped between the gear and chain.
They had to remove the bicycle’s rear tire using an adjustable spanner to free his hand.
The boy received initial treatment from the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) unit before being transported to the hospital for further care.
