KUALA LUMPUR:The 2019 Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) Fair 2019 will return to the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) on March 15-17 and is expected to attract 100,000 visitors.
Matta secretary-general Nigel Wong said the visitors at the 47th edition of the travel fair would be spoilt for choice as it would feature 1,369 booths in seven halls compared to 1,336 booths during the 2018 Matta Fair held in September last year.
“The upcoming Matta Fair in March will see the participation of several state tourism associations including from Sabah, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan, Terengganu and Perak,” he told a news conference here today.
Foreign tourism organisations taking part include those from Japan, Taiwan and and Korea.
Wong also said that Matta had also roped in the KL Hop-On Hop-Off (HOHO) city tour bus service for the upcoming travel fair. – Bernama
