KUCHING: Maxim E-hailing has officially partnered with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), allowing students a convenient, campus-friendly travel option.
Maxim and UNIMAS signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to allow Maxim to operate legally within the university, ensuring safe, direct rides for students, particularly for off-campus housing students.
This marks a significant step in combating campus congestion and enhancing mobility for students who rely on e-hailing.
UNIMAS believes that this collaboration can help make transportation around the campus safer and enable UNIMAS to monitor because e-hailing is safe for students as the data will be recorded, where rides will take students from the pick-up point to their destinations safely.
Some students live outside the campus, and they need e-hailing services to go to classes, and this will be a convenient and affordable option for them,” a representative of the UNIMAS management said.
Furthermore, Maxim will install benches in waiting areas to provide students with comfortable waiting areas.
The director of Maxim Malaysia, Mohd Hazwan Musley, expressed his excitement about collaborating with UNIMAS and many other local universities throughout Malaysia.
“These partnerships throughout Malaysia reflect Maxim’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young talents.
“We will provide students with opportunities to save money on Maxim rides, and we have student-aimed special offers with several promo codes for discounts on rides.”
Additionally, he believes these collaborations will drive meaningful impact, foster innovation, and help shape the future workforce.
“We look forward to together making a positive difference in the community.”
