SERIAN: The 1st Serian International Bike Week 2019 will be held from tomorrow until Sunday at Taman Tasik Danu here.
The event, which is making its debut, is organised by PER3 Serian and Serian Bikers’ Club together with Serian Resident’s Office.
Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus, the advisor of 1st Serian International Bike Week 2019, said the programme draws participation of both local and international bikers.
“Among the participants are bikers from all over Borneo, meaning Sarawak, Sabah, Labuan, Brunei and Indonesia. We also have participants from Kuala Lumpur,” he told a press conference at Serian Resident’s Office yesterday.
Meanwhile, the organising chairman Shafwan Mahri said the programme will assemble all bikers regardless of motor size to give the event a wider appeal.
“We are expecting to attract 10,000 visitors. We hope we will achieve our goals,” said Shafwan.
The official T-shirt of the 1st Serian International Bike Week 2019 was later unveiled by John, followed shortly by a briefing session by committee member, Sapiee Leh.
The three-day event will feature FISBW RC International Powerboat Open Race 2019, Mr Badan Cantik, Miss Serian Bike Week 2019, Battle of The Band, Bikeshow and Archery Workshop.
Also will be held are the exotic animal exhibition, motorcycle convoy, lucky draw, karaoke session and archery activities.
Those wishing to take part can register for various packages namely VIP Package (RM150; limited to 300 people only), Package 1 (RM80), Package 2 (RM60), Package 3 (RM50) and Package 4 (RM40).
Participants who purchase Packages 1, 2, 3 and 4 are entitled to a lucky draw which offers a Yamaha Y15 motorcycle, motor products and electrical products.
