KUCHING: The number of bills, questions, and motions for the upcoming state legislative assembly (DUN) sitting will be announced tomorrow (Nov 9).
Sarawak Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar said he will call a press conference following the pre-council session in the morning.
“After the pre-council, I shall call a press conference and brief the media on the number of questions on the table and whether there are any motions,” he said.
He was speaking to reporters after officiating at the Corruption and Legal Liability Workshop Programme for Sarawak State Legislative Members at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching today.
He was responding to questions from reporters on the numbers of bills that will be tabled at the DUN sitting.
Previously, he said a bill aimed at addressing challenges and issues related to social media would be presented during the assembly this November.
He noted that this decision followed a meeting of Speakers from across Malaysia to address new challenges and trends.
