SIBU: The Sg. Sadit Kiri Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) extended a helping hand to 20 needy families in the Engkilo area today (Nov 11).
The families, comprising single parents, the elderly, and individuals with disabilities, received basic food and necessities.
Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Bawang Assan branch chairman Cr Kevin Lau Kor Jie and JKKK Sg. Sadit Kiri chairperson Kapitan Hii Sie Nguok were present to distribute the aid.
“I hope this assistance can alleviate the burden these families face, allowing them to focus on their health and other priorities,” said Lau, who is also the Sibu Rural District Council’s Environment and Public Health Standing Committee chairman.
He expressed gratitude to Hii and her committee for their efforts in caring for the community.
