SIBU: In a unique and heartwarming twist, two members of the spirited “Pickleball Gang” have officially tied the knot on today (Nov 11), registering their marriage under the auspices of Sibu Yin Clan Association (SYCA).

The newly-wed couple, Khoo Ka Chee and his bride, Ting Chai Hung, known for their shared passion for pickleball and their vibrant presence on the courts, chose the memorable date and time of Nov 11 at 11.11am to mark the special occasion.

The ceremony, attended by fellow members of the Pickleball Gang and supporters from the local community, was a joyful blend of sports enthusiasm and traditional celebration.

According to the association’s marriage registrar, Daniel Iing Shii Ngie, the couple’s decision to register their marriage under SYCA symbolises not only their commitment to one another but also their deep-rooted connection to Sibu’s cultural and sporting community.

“Friends and fellow pickleball players praised the couple for their unique choice, emphasising how their love story has inspired and brought the pickleball community closer.

“It’s beautiful to see two people who share a love for the game make such a meaningful commitment,” he shared.

Iing, who is also the Lanang Pickleball Club chairman, said this unforgettable moment adds a heartfelt chapter to the Pickleball Gang’s story, highlighting the deep bonds that form both on and off the court.

“Congratulations poured in from across Sibu and beyond, as the newlyweds embark on their new journey together, united by love and a shared love for pickleball,” he added.
