KUCHING: Utama Toastmasters Club celebrated its 20th anniversary on Monday night with a grand installation dinner, highlighting two decades of fostering confident speakers and compassionate leaders.

At the event, Esther Law Lee Poh, the club’s Charter President, shared her vision for continued growth and the establishment of a new chapter, the Borneo Leadership Club, slated for early 2025.

“Looking ahead, we aim to advance our goals collectively, work towards a brighter future, and inspire the next generation of leaders to carry forward our mission,” she said.

Law emphasised the transformative impact of Toastmasters International on both personal and professional development.

“I am honoured to serve as the Charter President. This role has allowed me to witness the extraordinary changes that Toastmasters International brings to our lives.
“We have all experienced the immense value of effective communication and leadership, and I am grateful to share this journey with you all,” she said.

Law also announced the formation of the Borneo Leadership Club, a new Toastmasters chapter aimed at expanding the organsation’s reach and nurturing future leaders in the region.

The new club is expected to be officially launched in early 2025, further cementing Utama Toastmasters Club’s commitment to leadership development.

Law also extended her gratitude to Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Well-being Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, for agreeing to be the club’s patron.
