KUCHING: The State Budget ‘25 has been hailed as the best budget for low-income earners by the Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
DCCI supreme council member Bell Bernard said the budget demonstrated the government’s commitment to inclusivity.
“I am very happy with this year’s budget. It provides much-needed assistance, especially for those earning less than RM1,500. Moreover, it also includes the allocation to provide free laptops and pocket money for students,” he told Sarawak Tribune.
Bell added that the projected RM14 billion revenue collection for 2024 will significantly stimulate the state’s economy.
“This financial boost will enhance infrastructure projects, including road, electricity, and water supply upgrades. Improving infrastructure will directly enhance the quality of life for people in rural areas,” he said.
“Additionally, with substantial revenue collected, there will be improvements in agricultural technology, helping our farmers to increase their income.”
