BAU: An elderly couple and a motorcyclist sustained injuries following a three-vehicle collision along Jalan Serikin on Tuesday.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department said the accident, involving a lorry, a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and a motorcycle, happened at around 3.50pm.
Firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene, about 6km away, after receiving an emergency call.
Upon arrival, they found the MPV driver and his passenger trapped in their seats and an injured motorcyclist at the scene.
Extrication works were conducted to remove the couple from their vehicle, and the injured motorcyclist was carried to an ambulance.
All three victims, aged 20, 65 and 70, received preliminary treatment on-site before they were taken to Bau Hospital for further medical care.
The extent of their injuries was not known.
The lorry driver escaped unscathed in the accident.
